Head of Clean Energy
Emeka Ngwube is a Managing Director and Head of Clean Energy for the Americas at Credit Agricole CIB in New York. Over his 25 years at international financing institutions, Credit Agricole CIB and previously Credit Suisse, Emeka has acted as a lever to scale up support for clean energy, sustainable finance and low emission projects. He championed Credit Agricole CIB’s expansion into new strategic green sectors, such as Distributed Generation, and became the Head of the newly created Clean Energy team to capitalize on the identified opportunities. Emeka manages a team with origination, execution and asset management responsibilities for private lending for rooftop solar, storage, energy efficiency, and E-mobility. His team invest in/finance behind-the-meter distributed generation and utility scale renewable assets across the Americas, using Securitization conduit and balance sheet for credit facilities, and the capital markets for ABS issuances. Historically, he lead a team originating, structuring and distributing project finance bonds, which regularly ranked top 5 in global league tables.
Prior to banking, Emeka was a Project Manager in the hydro-power generation group of EDF, the French Electric Utility. Previously, he was Deputy Scientific Attaché at the Mission for Science and Technology of the French Embassy in Washington, DC.
Emeka holds an MBA from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania and a MSc. in Applied Mathematics from Ecole Centrale Lille in France
