Jens Bech
Jens Bech was appointed as Chief Risk Officer of the UK Asset Protection Agency (APA) in December 2009. The APA is responsible for managing the Asset Protection Scheme, which at its inception covered more than £280bn of toxic assets. Prior to joining the APA, Jens spent almost a decade at Oliver Wyman, a management consulting firm, where he led a wide range of projects covering finance, risk management, restructuring and strategic planning for clients located throughout Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. Most recently, Jens led Oliver Wyman's support of Iceland during the financial crisis. Jens’ educational background is in economics, with master’s degrees from the University of California at Santa Barbara and the University of Copenhagen.
 
 
Paul Varotsis
Paul Varotsis has been involved in structured credit for the last twenty years.  He is a partner at Reoch Credit Partners LLP, where he works as a consultant for financial institutions and advises investors, issuers and intermediaries on structured credit solutions. He is also a non-executive director at Volta Finance Limited a company quoted on Euronext Amsterdam and managed by AXA Investment Managers Paris that invests in structured credit. Paul’s previous positions included head of CDOs at Barclays Capital, Executive Director in charge of Repackaging and Credit Derivatives at Lehman Brothers, and head of Credit and Capital Management EAME for the Chase Manhattan Bank.  At Chase he started the Credit Derivatives business in London in the mid 1990s and developed it internationally. Prior to that he was involved in asset backed securities and structured bonds in Europe, Asia and the U.S.A.
Paul has worked closely with ISDA and regulators to help develop a safe environment for the growth of credit derivatives.  He was European Chairman of the ISDA committee that drafted the 2003 Credit Derivatives Definitions and advised the Bank of England and other regulators on the appropriate framework for the market’s development. Paul speaks at conferences and seminars and has published numerous papers on the structured credit markets. Paul holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, a Diplôme from the Institut d’études politiques de Paris and a Diplôme from the Institut Supérieur de Gestion. 
 
 
Paul Rivlin
Paul Rivlin – Joint Chief Executive, Co founder of Palatium, a real estate investment manager based in London and operating throughout Europe.  He was previously joint head of real estate investment banking for Eurohypo and Deutsche Bank with headline deals including the sale of the Gherkin, acquisition of Groupe Taittinger, advising on the purchase of Telereal and initiation of the Opera CMBS programme. He gained direct industry experience with Broadgate Properties and Rosehaugh having begun his career in real estate at County Natwest. 
 
Poh Heng Tan
Poh Heng Tan is Principal with GSO Capital Partners.Since joining GSO Capital in 2008, Mr. Tan has been involved with the analysis of CLOs, including CLO managers due diligence as well as the underlying loan portfolios and the structures for each deal. Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Tan worked in Washington Square Investment Management as a senior portfolio manager of a London listed fund that invests largely in CLO equity. Prior to that, he worked in DBS Bank, S&P, IDEAglobal and IBJ focusing on credit and structured credit products. Mr. Tan received his Bachelor Degree with a major in Financial Analysis from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He was awarded Ernst & Young Gold medal for Derivatives Securities Analysis. He is a CFA Charterholder.
 
 
Alexei Garan
Alexei joined PVE in June 2010 to focus on the ABS advisory business. He has 13 years experience in credit, most recently as a Portfolio Manager at Credaris from 2006 to 2010, where he traded asset backed securities across all vehicles and advisory mandates. Prior to Credaris, he was a Senior Credit Manager at HBOS Treasury, a Credit Manager at the Co-operative Bank, and a Credit Analyst at Lazard.
 
Pawan Malik
Pawan heads up Navigant Capital Markets Advisers. With 20+ years of trading and structuring experience of capital markets and OTC derivatives, he brings an in depth and current knowledge of global markets, valuation and risk management. Until recently, Mr Malik was the Global Head of Derivative Counterparty Risk Solutions at Barclays Capital. Previously, he was a Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income & Credit Trading and Structuring with Bankers Trust and then, Rabobank
   
 
 
   
Oliver Fochler
Oliver joined Prytania Investment Advisors LLP as Partner and Head of Origination & Client Management in September 2010. Prior to joining Prytania, Oliver was Head of Global Business Solutions at Moody's Analytics in London. He was responsible for developing client solutions around risk analytics and advisory services in the area of valuation and risk assessment of structured finance and derivatives, credit portfolio management, liquidity risk and Solvency II. Oliver joined Moody's in 2006. He initially had responsibility at Moody's KMV for covering the global accounts in relation to quantitative credit risk management services.Prior to this he spent 5 years at Reuters Trade & Risk Management in Zurich. Here he was responsible for business development in Europe, providing strategic solutions encompassing ALM, IAS39, Basel II credit risk and structured products. Oliver is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) of GARP. He holds a BBA from the University of Augsburg in Germany and an MBA and Licentiate in finance and computer science from the University of Zurich in Switzerland, where he did his PhD studies in quantitative finance.
 
 
Saul Greenberg
Saul Greenberg is SCIO Capital's CRO and one of its managing partners. Prior to SCIO, Saul was at Deutsche Bank AG London where he headed up the European and Asia-Pacific ABS/CDO securitization risk desk. Prior to Deutsche, Saul was at Moody's in London where he also held senior positions in the CMBS and covered bonds teams of the structured finance group.
Saul also held a senior position in each of the international securitization group at Clifford Chance, London and corporate and institutional finance group at Calyon, Johannesburg.
Saul holds degrees in arts, law and tax from University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.
 
 

Douglas V. Long
Douglas Long is Executive Vice President Business Strategy with structured finance software firm, Principia Partners. With over a decade working in the structured credit and structured finance markets he is now responsible for driving company strategy and the delivery of its investment analysis, risk oversight, compliance and accounting platform. Previously, as Vice President at Deutsche Bank, he was responsible for research and quantitative analysis for interest, equity and credit derivatives. During his time with Principia, Long has helped to successfully integrate and continue to develop market leading ABS/MBS and structured credit capabilities into the Principia Structured Finance Platform. These contributions to technology innovation in the structured finance market were recognized in each year of Credit’s annual awards in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

A frequent speaker on industry panels, author and commentator in the trade press, Douglas contributes his quantitative skills and domain expertise to address the unique operational challenges facing ABS, MBS and Structured Fixed Income investors in today's rapidly evolving marketplace. Prior to his time at Deutsche Bank, Doug was a quantitative analyst and financial engineer with Infinity (SunGard) and Renaissance Software in London, where he developed analytics used in handling fixed income, derivatives and structured finance securities.

 
 
David Matson
David Matson is Managing Director of IKB Fund Management, the investment manager for the Bacchus European Leveraged Loan CLOs. David has worked in leveraged finance for 20 years, in various origination, structuring and investment roles.  His focus has been on building and managing portfolios of leveraged finance loans. After management training with Lloyds Bank including Corporate Banking and the Work Out Unit, he joined the NatWest Group in 1990.  For seven years, he was responsible for the origination of leveraged banking transactions within the UK mid cap market.   In 1997, he joined Mitsubishi Trust as Head of Acquisition Finance and built a portfolio of leveraged loans in the European Loans Market. David was recruited by IKB in 1999 to set up the Acquisition Finance team within the newly established London branch.  Over the next six years, David developed the IKB Acquisition Finance team in to one of the leading participants in the European Leverage Loan markets.  In 2005, David was appointed to set up IKB Fund Management as a Bank owned CLO Manager. To date there have been five European and one US Bacchus CLOs, with over EUR 2 billion Assets Under Management.  This has established IKB as one of the leading European Bank CLO Managers. He graduated from Cambridge (BA) in 1985, received a Master’s Degree in Political Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1987 and a Financial Studies Diploma from London City University in 1989. ACIB and FSA qualified.
 
   
 
Chandrajit Chakraborty
Chandrajit Chakraborty, CIO, Managing Partner: Chandrajit brings in over 10-years of experience as a Structured Finance banker, structurer and trader, covering stints at Wachovia Securities, Nomura Securities, Deutsche Bank, UBS, Old Mutual, Fitch Ratings and JP Morgan.  As a senior banker and structurer he was responsible for originating and structuring several transaction ranging from leveraged loan CLOs to Private Equity backed and Hedge Fund backed Collateralised Debt Obligations and Collateralised Fund Obligations. Chandrajit started his career as a trader, responsible for managing and trading a proprietary book of corporate credits at JP Morgan in Asia. He has a Masters in Finance (with Distinction) in Financial Engineering from London Business School (LBS), MBA from University of Bombay and is a graduate in Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).
 
   
Hikmet Sevdican
Hikmet is co-founder of Dynamic Credit Partners Europe and focuses on Dynamic’s asset management and advisory activities in Europe. Hikmet has over 11 years of experience in credit risk analysis, of which 9 years actively managing European Structured Credit funds and mandates. In his career, he has managed and traded over €6 billion of Structured Credit products. Prior to joining Dynamic, Hikmet was responsible for building ROBECO’s ABS capabilities and as Head of ABS Investments successfully launched various institutional mandates and listed ABS funds with positive track records versus their comparable benchmarks. Previously, he was responsible for European Structured Credit investments at ABP Investments and NIBC Asset Management. Hikmet started his career at ING Group as developer of RAROC models for Economic Capital purposes. Hikmet holds an M.A. in Monetary Economics from Tilburg University and is also an RBA charter-holder.
 
   
Jameson R. Miller 
Jameson Miller, Managing Director and Global Head of Credit Markets, Unicredit, is currently responsible for managing credit trading at UniCredit Bank including ABS market-making, structured credit trading and corporate and financial bond and CDS trading.  Prior to joining UniCredit in 2008, Mr. Miller was a Partner at NewSmith Capital Partners where he specialised in structured finance.  Previously, he held senior structuring and derivatives marketing positions at Bank of America in London and San Francisco.  He began his career as an investment banker at Dean Witter Reynolds Inc. in New York and is a graduate of the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Colorado College.
 
 
 
Greg Branch
Greg Branch is SCIO Capital's Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and one of its founding partners. Prior to joining SCIO, Greg was at Deutsche Bank AG London where he headed up the European ABS/CDO trading desk. Greg started his career at Deutsche Bank in 2000 as a Director and Head of Analytics for the Structured Products Group in Europe. Greg joined Deutsche from Lehman Brothers in New York where he headed the Commercial Mortgage Analytics group. Greg holds a Masters Degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.  
 
 
 
Philippe Jodin
Philippe Jodin is one of the founding Partners of Alegra Capital, an independent asset manager based in Zurich, Switzerland. Since it's inception in 2003, Alegra has specialized in investing in structured credit securitizations, particularly in the Subordinated and Mezzanine Notes of Leveraged Loans CLOs. Philippe is responsible for investment decisions and risk management. He is a former VP of Centre Solutions Ltd., Zurich., where he was responsible for the quantitative analysis of complex transactions and was part of Centre's European CDO team. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (F.C.A.S.) and graduated from the Institut de Science Financière et d'Assurances (I.S.F.A.), Lyon, France.
 
 
Laila Kollmorgen, CFA 
Laila Kollmorgen is a Managing Director at Cohen & Company.  She heads the Structured Products Syndicate and Trading Desk in London.  In her 16 year career, Laila founded Kollmorgen Financial Partners, which specialized in securitization advisory services, headed the ABS Secondary Trading desk at BNP Paribas in London, was a portfolio manager at HSH Nordbank in Hamburg, Germany, and held various trading positions at Merrill Lynch in New York within the Mortgage Trading Group.  Laila holds an MBA from The Wharton School, an MA in international business from the Joseph H. Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA (cum laude) from Wellesley College.  She received her CFA charter in 2002. 
 
   
   
Zeshan Ashiq
Zeshan is the Founding Partner of Shooters Hill Capital, a Structured Finance and securitization advisory regulated by the UK FSA. Since inception (October 2008), the firm has advised its clients (which include Banks, Private Equity Firms, Insurance companies, Fund managers, Government agencies and Institutional investors) on a multitude of engagements (providing independent valuation, risk management and restructuring advice) covering several $ billion of structured finance portfolios. He has over ten years of experience in underwriting, structuring, managing, re-structuring and risk managing European Structured Finance Assets (Asset Backed Securities, Collateralised Loan Obligations, etc). Prior to his current assignment, Zeshan worked with a leading Global Insurer (Financial Security Assurance) where he was jointly responsible for European CDOs. During his 4 year tenour at FSA, he underwrote and structured credit-derivative transactions and collateralized debt obligations for FSA's insured portfolio. While at FSA, Zeshan also oversaw sourcing and execution of arbitrage and regulatory capital-driven transactions utilizing funded and synthetic risk-transfer structures backed by investment-grade, and high-yield corporate risk. Zeshan previously spent four years with Wall Street Analytics (now part of Moody’s Analytics).  During that time he was involved insetting-up their CDO structuring/analytical platform and building their CDO deal library. Zeshan holds an MBA from Hult International Business School and an M.Eng in Mechatronics from 'Universite Libre de Bruxelles'
 
   
   
Colin Fleury
Colin joined Henderson in July 2007 and is Head of ABS Investments. Colin has over 20 years banking and corporate finance experience,  specialising in structured finance since 1995 and investing in pan-European ABS since 1998.  Colin joined from Deutsche Bank AG where he was a Director and senior Portfolio Manager with respect to the $20bn+ ABS/MBS/CDO portfolio of the Winchester Capital Principal Finance team.  Colin was also a senior Portfolio Manager within a team at Abbey National Treasury Services plc managing a similar sized portfolio between 1998 and 2000. Colin's previous roles also include Senior Advisor, M&A and Financing for Shell International and as a Vice President of the Global Project Finance Group of Credit Suisse. Colin’s experience in structured finance, project and corporate finance spans multiple jurisdictions in Europe and worldwide. Colin is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
 
   
Rob Ford
Before moving into portfolio management, Rob had a highly successful career as a fixed-income trader covering a broad range of instruments over a period of more than 20 years, including corporate bonds, gilts and asset-backed securities. Rob is one of the 7 founding partners of TwentyFour and a member of the four-strong portfolio management team where his primary responsibility is the co-management of the Firm’s Monument and Dynamic Bond Funds as well as a number of bespoke portfolios for institutional clients.
Before founding TwentyFour, Rob was a partner and portfolio manager at Synapse Investment Management. Prior to this, Rob spent over 20 years at Barclays Capital (formerly BZW) in London, where he was latterly a Managing Director and Head of European ABS Trading.
Rob has been trading asset-backed securities since their inception in the late 1980s and is one of the market’s leading authorities on the sector. Rob has also managed in other trading areas including establishing and running Barclays Capital’s highly successful LIBOR credit trading unit. As well as trading asset-backed securities, Rob has also traded corporate bonds and gilts. In his very early days he traded LIFFE futures and options.
